Why was 7 Baseball USA created?

Matthew 4:19-20 And Jesus said to them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
The vision of 7 Baseball USA was seeded in 2005. Years later the founder, Alec Romanoff, started to heavily search for an different avenue to use his extensive baseball background. He began to have a burning heart for underpriveledged kids.  In 2012, Alec decided to leave his net and follow God.
The vision has taken many twists and turns, but one thing remains constant. God has been in control. The vision has adjusted over time, and Alec now sees himself as a father-figure to many kids. Whether it be in inner-city Tampa, in the Dominican Republic, or sitting in the stands watching one of his Yankees host-kids, there is always a kid in need of father-figure. "Our training focus is based on two extremely important facets of the game that seem to get ignored; the mental and the spiritual.  Honor the game with our mind and honor God with our abilities."
